Editorial policy
Sources
We rely first on official sources: GOV.UK, the text of UK legislation, and statements from agencies such as DVLA and DVSA. Public reporting and court or council announcements are used for examples. Where a fact comes from a secondary source, we say so or leave it out.
Review dates
Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We re-check fees, legal references and official links regularly, and whenever an agency changes its guidance.
Corrections
If you find an error or a broken link, tell us through the contact page. We correct factual errors promptly and update the review date.
Independence and scam sites
We accept no payment from sellers of documents and carry no affiliate links to them. We do not name or link to scam websites; we describe the pattern. Reports from readers about specific sites are passed to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
Legal information
Pages that mention the law are information, not legal advice. For advice on your situation, speak to a solicitor.
