About Truthdocuments

Truthdocuments is an independent project that explains how fake licence and document scams work, how to check a document, and how to get the genuine one. Our New Zealand guides cover driver licences, overseas licence conversion, passports and birth certificates, written by Mark Dent.

What we do

• Explain scams from NZTA and DIA material, the text of New Zealand legislation and public reporting.
• Link to the official services for checking, reporting and applying.
• Help victims take the right steps quickly.

What we never do

• We never sell, issue, arrange or broker any licence, passport, certificate or other document.
• We never take payment for checking or “registering” a document.
• We do not name or link to scam websites. We describe how the scams work so the guidance stays accurate when the sites change.

Independence

We are not affiliated with NZTA, the AA, VTNZ, DIA or any other agency, and we carry no advertising from document sellers. If a website, social account or message claims to be Truthdocuments and offers documents, it is not us; please tell us. Our method is in the editorial policy and how we research.
