Editorial policy

Sources

Facts come from pages we opened: government agencies, regulators, legislation and named press reports. Each guide lists them. Where a source could not be opened we say so, and we leave the claim out.

Dates

Every guide shows a last-reviewed date. Fees and times carry the date we checked them, usually 5 October 2026, and may have changed since.

Law and penalties

We state a penalty only from the text of the law we read. A maximum is a ceiling set by Parliament and is described as one, never as a typical sentence. We have not read state and territory criminal or road transport law, and the guides say so where it matters. Nothing here is legal advice.

Cases

We describe only cases whose primary or official source we opened. We do not invent stories, quotes or statistics, and a charge is not reported as a conviction.

Scam sites

We never name or link to scam sellers or look-alike sites. We describe how they work.

Independence

We sell nothing, take no payment from agencies or sellers, and carry no advertising.
