One sign is a warning. Three or more is an answer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"keyfacts\"><strong>Key facts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Home Office advisory says the UK government does not solicit payments by international money transfer such as MoneyGram or Western Union.<\/li>\n<li>GOV.UK says no alternative service can give a faster ETA decision, and an ETA never guarantees entry.<\/li>\n<li>Citizens Advice names missing postal addresses, pressure to pay fast and unusual payment methods as scam signs.<\/li>\n<li>In the reported 2026 DBS case, victims paid \u00a370 to \u00a3100 for a check the official service charged \u00a321.50 for at the time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"s1\">What they promise<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No exam, no test, no course.<\/strong> The issuer decides whether you qualify; a seller cannot.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&ldquo;Registered in the database.&rdquo;<\/strong> A record exists only after the issuer creates it. One flag, such as a high price: check the official fee. Two flags: stop and use the official route.
