Most licence and certificate offers work this way, with a second &ldquo;release&rdquo; fee after the first.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Copycat (look-alike) website<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A site that imitates a government or official service and charges extra for what the real service offers at a set fee. See <a href=\"\/uk\/fake-passport-websites\/\">fake and copycat passport websites<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>False identity document<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A term from the Identity Documents Act 2010 covering false or improperly obtained documents such as passports and UK driving licences. See <a href=\"\/uk\/document-fraud-law\/\">UK law on fake documents<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Check code<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A one-time code a driver creates on GOV.UK, valid for 21 days, so someone else can check their driving record. See <a href=\"\/uk\/is-my-licence-real\/\">how to check a licence<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Share code<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A code created on GOV.UK to let an employer or landlord check immigration status, valid for 90 days. See <a href=\"\/uk\/uk-evisa-share-code\/\">eVisas and share codes<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Diploma mill<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A business that sells degrees or diplomas with little or no study. See <a href=\"\/uk\/diploma-mill-warning-signs\/\">diploma mill warning signs<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Cloned licence<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A licence that copies a real holder&#8217;s details with a different photo. See <a href=\"\/uk\/cloned-sia-licence\/\">cloned SIA licences<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Test impersonation<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Someone else sitting a test using the candidate&#8217;s identity. See <a href=\"\/uk\/driving-test-impersonation\/\">driving test impersonation<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>GRO index reference<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>The reference that identifies a birth, marriage or death entry in the General Register Office index. See <a href=\"\/uk\/gro-index-reference-number\/\">GRO index reference<\/a>.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Chargeback<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A request to your card provider to reverse a payment. Ask your provider whether it applies to your case.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Section 75<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A provision of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 that can make a credit card provider liable alongside a seller. It applies only within certain price limits and conditions, so ask your provider.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>SELT<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>A Secure English Language Test approved for UK visa applications.
