Checks are the holder&#8217;s own: a free NDLS driver statement, a penalty point query, MyRoadSafety, MyEDT and the application status tool. Information goes to the person it belongs to. A seller cannot create one, and no check will ever confirm a document that was not issued that way. See <a href=\"\/ie\/scam-red-flags\/\">scam red flags<\/a> and <a href=\"\/ie\/report-a-scam\/\">where to report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"s6\">Documents you show, and documents you verify<\/h2>\n<p>For the theory test you present ID, and the RSA accepts only specific documents in hard copy. For a licence application you do not present anything in person if you apply online: your Public Services Card and verified MyGovID do that work. That difference matters when a stranger asks you to send photographs of your documents. The official services use your card and your verified account, not pictures sent over chat.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"s7\">When no check is possible<\/h2>\n<p>For birth, marriage and criminal-record certificates, professional qualifications and language tests we have not documented an Irish check, and we say so rather than guess. If you are an employer, ask the issuing body directly.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"faq\">Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<details>\n<summary>Can I check someone else&#x27;s Irish driving licence online?<\/summary>\n<p>We did not find a public NDLS service for that. NDLS says driver statement and penalty point information goes only to the holder, and is not released to a third party.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How do I check my own driving licence record?<\/summary>\n<p>Use the free NDLS driver statement form, or the Penalty Point Query on the NDLS contact form. Both are sent to your email or the postal address on your record.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How do I know a theory test site is official?<\/summary>\n<p>The RSA says to book only on the official site, theorytest.ie, and that unofficial websites accepting bookings are fraudulent.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>Can I check a Safe Pass card online?<\/summary>\n<p>We did not find an official card checker on the SOLAS page we read. You can check that your tutor is on the SOLAS Safe Pass Accredited Tutors register.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>What if a seller sends me a screenshot proving the licence is real?<\/summary>\n<p>A screenshot proves nothing.
